Have you ever wanted to learn to cook those holiday recipes that you have seen on cooking shows, at restaurants, or at other people's holiday parties or want to be able to make different cultures' holiday foods.

Then, this course is for you because this course is designed to provide you with the necessary and intermediate tools for holiday culinary arts and helpful information and recipes for cooking several different types of holiday foods such as appetizers, breads, side dishes, lunch, soup, salads, meals, vegetables, and desserts recipes.
 
The recipes are from simple to complex for the following Holidays: New Year's Day (United States and Chinese), Imbolc/Candlesmas, St. Patrick's Day (Irish), Ostara/Vernal Equinox, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, Beltane/First Day of Summer, Mother's Day (American and Mexican), Memorial Day (United States), Father's Day (American and Mexican), Litha/Summer Solstice, Independence Day (Canada and United States), Lughnasadh/First Day of Autumn, Labor Day (United States), Mabon/Autumn Equinox, Halloween/Samhain, Day of the Dead (Mexican) New Year (Celtic). Thanksgiving, Yule/Winter Solstice, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
 
If we were to look at every culture, every day of the year could be considered a holiday, but this course will cover the major and the most celebrated holidays.

Requirements for Course:

You are required to complete all the assignments, lessons, quiz, final, and forums in order to pass this course.

Background Holiday Culinary Recipes (100 points)

Holidays January through March (100 points)

Holidays April through June (100 points)

Holidays July through September (100 points)

Holidays October through December (100 points)  
 

Quizzes:

Holidays January through March (50 points)

Holidays April through June (50 points) 

Holidays July through September (50 points)

Holidays October through December (50 points)

Creating Your Own Recipes (250 points)

Course Goals

Each lesson in this course is designed to provide you with the basics and intermediate tools and necessary procedures for making delicious holiday meals of your own. The background information, the lessons, files, links, assignments, and quizzes are set up to provide the basics for stocking your kitchen with the right utensils, equipment, ingredients, recipes, tips, and short cuts to save time in making your holiday foods. Most of the recipes are from my grandmother's bakery with American, French, Germany, Mexican, and other International Culinary recipes included.
