This course will cover What is a Wedding Planner all the way to Directing the Wedding Day Events. If you are serious about starting a new career as a Wedding Planner/Consultant then this class is a must.
You will get experience in creating your business forms to make your company successful, choosing what works for you in dealing with clients in your locale, dressing for different types of weddings, working with wedding/event vendors in your area, growing your business, and becoming a well known Wedding Consultant in your area. We will even cover where Bridal Consultants go to continue their education in this ever growing industry.

I have a short assignment at the end of every lesson. These lessons are to be completed and emailed to the instructor. At any time if you have any questions about the lessons, please feel free to contact the instructor. The assignments are to help you master the course and get you started in your business.
Course Goals
~Starting your own wedding Business, my goal is to ensure that when you finish the course you will be able to start your own wedding business and be successful.
~Working with vendors, the goal with working with vendors is to ensure that you know how to choose reputable vendors and work with these vendors so they will help you in marketing your business.
~Working with brides, families, and others- this is a very important goal of mine, it is crucial that you are able to get along with everyone involved in the wedding. I will give you examples of situations that it may be tough to deal with a family member but how you can work around any situation.
~Marketing Yourself to get business-by the end of the course I will have given you enough information that you will be able to market yourself through email, internet, bridal shows, and other areas of marketing.
~Forms and Contracts (learning policy)- I give you sample business forms that you may copy..it is important that you understand that your forms must be legal to use in your state. I will explain how you can ensure that your forms are legal and will protect you in the event of a dispute.
~Directing and Coordinating Wedding Events - the main goal for my course is to teach you how to direct and coordinate small to large weddings.
~Wedding Planning-I will explain the diference between wedding planning and wedding directing. You will learn to discover if a bride needs your wedding planning skills or just for you to direct the wedding.
~The Do's and Dont's of Wedding Planner's-the class goal is to ensure that you are doing what you are supposed to do at a wedding and what you are not supposed to do!
~Dress-goal is to give you the understanding of proper dress for all types of weddings and when you first meet with a potential client.
~Starting your own wedding business/marketing-By the end of the class you should be able to walk away and immediately start your business. My goal is to give you the knowledge of how to start your business and market yourself. You will always continue to learn in the wedding planning business as traditions and styles change. My goal is to teach you how to become a successful Wedding Planner Business Owner!!!
Reading Materials
1. Wedding Planning For Dummies, this is an exciting book and goes detail by detail in how to plan a wedding.
2. Preparing a Wedding On a Budget, this book describes how to plan a wedding when the bride and groom do not have a lot of money to put towards the wedding.
Any book on wedding planning and bridal magazines are a great way to learn fast about the latest wedding styles and trends!
I find it handy to have a few books out for my clients to see that I do read books on wedding planning. Just a small little marketing trick!! :)
Grading Policy
Each assignment is composed of points. All of the assigments and quizzes will be added together (should total 50 points). Then there is a final exam that is also worth 50 points.
If you score 70% or higher with the class assignments, quizzes, and the exam totalled together, then you will have the opportunity to receive a certificate of achievement.
