Course Description
DoIn (prounced dough-in), is an ancient exercise practice. The DoIn exercises are self-help techniques that often resemble yoga postures. These exercises are designed to work on the body's energy meridians to improve, maintain and develop over all well-being and health. DoIn is actually a form of Shiastu and incorporates knowledge of the body's energy pathways known as, Meridians. The DoIn exercises themselves are designed to help open up any blockages that you may be experiencing right now in your body. Blockages in the body have been known to contribute to illness.
Do you often feel tired and worn down throughout the day? Is it a job just to get out of bed in the morning? DO you really want to exercise and feel good about yourself but don't have the energy, time, or motivation to do anything? If so, then DoIn is just right for you.
When you incorporate the DoIn exercises into your normal daily life, you will notice that you will begin to feel more invigorated and energized. You will feel like you have more energy to start your day. And the best part, DoIn can be done in as little as 5 minutes a day!
Don't you deserve at least 5 minutes a day to feel good about yourself? Can you find 5 minutes in your busy day to give yourself the gift of revitalizing energy? You will be so glad you did.
Course Requirements-NO Experience Needed!
There are no prerequisites for taking this course. You do not need to know about meridians or the energy systems of the body. You don't even need to have ever exercised before. No exercise experience needed! DoIn is Great for beginners. Even those of you who are confined to wheelchairs will benefit from a DoIn practice.
Students will complete this DoIn course by completing all the lesson plans(6), assignments, and passing the two tests with at least 70% correct answers.
(Do not worry about the test, you may retake it as many times as you need to in order to pass-it is only there for you to understand the material that you are reading).
Course Goals
The goal of this course is to bring students a sequence of easy to do exercises that will help them to improve the flow of energy, called Qi, through their body. This exercises start at the top of the head and work down to the bottoms of the feet. Students will become empowered to enhance the flow of energy within their own bodies to bring vitality to their lives.
This flow of energy will help students bring more health into the very organs and systems of their bodies, as well as, body awareness and mindfulness.
Students will learn to use DoIn to increase circulation in their bodies to help relieve headaches, sore muscles, constipation, and even sinus congestion.
Students will learn specific exercises they can do to strengthen the digestive system, activate the production of saliva, and help to relieve joint pain in the hips and knees.
In addition, students will also learn exercises to help reduce stress and tension, improve breathing, and help those who suffer from arthritis.

Length of Course
The DoIn course is set up for students to work at their own pace. You can take as long, or as little, time to complete each and every lesson plan.
The exercises have been broken down into lessons representing "sections" of the body to work on beginning with the head and working through to the feet.
Each "section" of exercises work specific areas of the body and affect specific systems of the body. An example would be: Tapping the inside of the arm would increase energy flow to the lungs, while tapping the outside of the arm will increase energy flow to the small and large intestines.
Please, you are encouraged to work at your own pace and to enjoy each and every lesson first before moving on to the next lesson.
The final lesson will contain the total sequence of exercises for you to perform. This sequence is known as DoIn and has been performed in maritial arts such as QiGong, Tai Chi, etc. as a warm up or cool down exercise.
