Course Description
This is a very practical course on computerized accounting with QuickBooks PRO-2008. The course is fully automated with motion videos and sound. What this means is that you will spend less time reading and more time learning QuickBooks through visual applications. QuickBooks is a great tool that facilitates transaction recording, posting to ledgers, writing checks, preparing invoices, performing reconciliation and most importantly, preparing the company financial statements with a few simple clicks.
Students will learn how to set up a company from scratch, prepare invoices, purchase orders, reconcile bank and credit card accounts quickly and easily, write checks, do online banking, memorize transactions, prepare budgets, process payroll, prepare quarterly payroll taxes and much more. The course is designed to give the student self-confidence, speed and accuracy in working with this software. Students who master the program will greatly enhance their accounting knowledge. They will feel capable of doing computerized accounting work, not only for other companies, but may also contemplate the idea of starting their own bookkeeping practice.

Course Goals
The ultimate goal of this course is to guide and motivate participants to become more proficient with the QuickBooks software. Students will take a total of six (6) quizzes which includes a Final. In order to successfully pass the course, a minimum overall grade of 70% is required. In addition, students will also complete six (6) assignments and participate in class discussions.
