Course Description
Fern Design
This One Stroke Floral Bouquet course will show you how to create many types of floral bouquet paintings. You will learn how to create vertical shaped, c-shaped, L-shaped, arc shaped, and round shaped floral compositions.
You will learn how to paint daisies, roses, peonies, magnolias, dome thistles, tulips, poppies, chrysanthemums, pansies, baby's breath, ferns, dragonflies, many leaf variations, as well as complete floral designs.
Joan will take you step-by-step teaching each simple stroke, using her stroke guides and written instructions. Joan's written instructions are written as if Joan is standing next to you in class. You will have many interactions with her through your assignments.
This course is taking your on a floral journey, while learning to paint simple flowers, that you can share with the world.
Now is the time to get started on a new painting hobby that will last the rest of your life! 
Course Requirements
No painting experience is necessary to take this course. Students learn all the elements, one stroke at a time.
Students work at their own pace and in their own schedule. There is no pressure in this class.
Course Goals
The goal in this course is for students to learn many different flowers, leaves, and bouquet design composition, in simple steps, one stroke at a time.
After completing this course, students will understand the concept of designing many floral sprays, arcs, and bouquets, which can be used for very simple designs on all surfaces.
Course Materials
Folk Art Acrylic Paints:
Colors: wicker white, berry wine, peony, engine red, burnt umber, linen, yellow light, yellow ochre, sunflower, school bus yellow, thicket, night sky, heather, purple passion, dioxazine purple, floating medium
Please feel free to substitute any colors you want for all your paintings. There are many new colors from Plaid. Look in the Plaid paint display in your craft store.

Miscellaneous:
Foam plate (palette), paper towels, wax paper or practice pad, water basin

There are no grades issued in this course. The quizzes are geared toward the student's understanding of the lesson. No pressure~
