Course Description
This course is for anyone who is considering the purchase of a pet bird or wants to provide better care for his or her pet bird. It begins with a lecture on some common misconceptions about pet birds. Different species of birds and their characteristics are compared, so that you can see which birds most closely fit your lifestyle and family. Each species is additionally covered in a separate lecture. Basic care information and basic training tips are also covered. Resources are included for finding out more about bird behavior and where to buy cages and supplies. This class can be used as a homeschool class or unit study if students complete the lessons and assignments.
