Course Description

Is your child struggling to put pencil to paper?  How well can he or she write reports for school work?  Written expression is such an important skill that we need to be POSTIVE that kids are learning to write competently.  You can help!  This class offers helpful information about how the writing process develops, and lots of exercises to boost skills.  Expand vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and develop organizational skills using the convenience of email.   See you soon!

3 different exercises are available each week to develop and build writing skills. There is also an assortment of extra exercises to do if you feel like more work is needed.  In addition, there are 6 lessons for parents/adults to use for discovering how writing develops.  Many of these also contain optional exercises for children.  Each activity will focus on an important writing skill, like fluency, structure, mechanics, paragraphing, or sentence development.   Exercises are new each week, and are available at several levels of difficulty. Parents may choose to receive feedback on children's work from an experienced teacher/tutor or critique the child's work themselves. Those who do not wish feedback can use the promotional code 1000 to enroll for the reduced rate of $10 and will be offered exercises to use or print out for four weeks (total of 12 exercises). Remember, children under 13 must enroll with a parent. Let's get started! Together, we can build your child's writing skills!
