Course Description

The course teaches you how to make a full-time or a part-time income selling your craft items. This course has all the information you need to start your own craft business and run it successfully. You learn how to set up your business, price the craft items, create marketing materials, and sell your craft items effectively. You also learn about additional ways to earn an income from your craft than just selling.

If you already have a passion for making things with your hands, why not make money doing so. It can be fun and a satisfying way of making a living.

Course Requirements

You must be interested in creating things with hands. Have a craft! There are no required readings.

Course Goals

The course helps you to start and succeed as a crafts entrepreneur. The goals of this course are as following:
  1. Introduce to craft as a business opportunity
  2. Help decide if you are ready to start your own business
  3. Understand the requirements of starting a small business
  4. Learn to price your craft
  5. Know how to sell at fairs, via mail order, and online
  6. Explore other selling opportunities
  7. Discover additional income opportunities related to crafts
  8. Get tips to succeed

Course Materials

All the course material is included in the lessons, quizzes, assignments, and class discussions posted on the website.
I will provide links the other sites and recommend books. It will be beneficial you to read those.

Grading Policy

Grading is based on the class participation, the performance in the assignments and the quizzes.
100%-90% = A (certificate of outstanding achievement)
89%-75% = B (certificate of academic excellence)
74%-50% = C

If you score below 50%, I recommend that you re-take the course.
