Course Description

Couscous with tomato vinaigrette

This course is designed to provide you with the necessary and intermediate tools for the culinary arts and helpful information and recipes for cooking several different types of foods such as appetizers, side dishes, lunch, soup, salads, meals, and crock-pot recipes.

The background information, the lessons, files, links, assignments, and quizzes are set up to provide the basics for stocking your kitchen with the right utensils, equipment, and ingredients, tips and short cuts to save time in the kitchen, healthier cooking information, and intermediate level cooking recipes from my great-grandmother's restaurant.

Course Requirements

You are required to complete all the assignments, lessons, quiz, final, and forums in order to pass this course.

Background Culinary Recipes (100 points)

Basics of Culinary Recipes (100 points)

Recipes Appetizers, Salads, and Side Dishes (100 points)

Recipes Lunch, Soups, and Sandwiches (100 points)

Recipes Meals (100 points)

Recipes Crock-pot (100 points)

Creating your Own Culinary Recipes (100 points)

Course Goals

The main goal for this course is for a beginner and intermediate cook to be able to increase their culinary skill level. The lessons are organized in a manner to increase your knowledge (with each lesson completed in order) to obtain the final goal of making your own meals. Many people say that they can cook, but there is a difference between those that cook because they have to and those that love to cook in order to bring new foods and different tastes into their meals.

Course Materials

Basic kitchen equipment and ingredients.

Grading: A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 F 59>
