Course Overview
NEWSFLASH!!!! We were all born able to be Reiki therapists. You don't have to be rich or have some fancy education to practice Reiki. Nor do you have to have any previous experience in any health field. All you need is a willing heart and open mind. Reiki is an energy force that is available to all of us. There is no reason to pay thousands of dollars to practice Reiki! This course is designed to help you remember what you ALREADY know and balance the energy that lies around and within us. You will learn the history of Reiki, the Reiki principles, Hand positions, a brief intro to the chakra system and receive your first attunement as well as one on one guidance along the way. You will learn how to give Reiki treatments to yourself and others during the course of this class. Reiki can help assist in healing injuries, speed the process of recovery and assist with stress and emotional issues we encounter daily. There are no limitations to Reiki. Reiki is a positive energy force when used correctly, will help you awaken to your own power, dreams and destiny.
I will be here walking this path with you daily, offering personalized instruction and guidance. You work at your own pace, track your progress in your own journal or own our forums or even with me one on one. I will be happy to provide you with feedback even after you've completed this course. Course Requirements
No previous experience or special education is required for this course. NONE! Even if you've never even heard of Reiki or if you know TONS about it....you are welcome and encouraged to take part in this class. The only course requirements truly needed ---an open and willing heart. This class is open to anyone who wants to learn more about energy work, Reiki and most of all, yourself. By the time you have finished this class you will be able to practice Usui Reiki on yourself and others. I will be working on my students everyday with energy work. Helping you to clear chakras (Not OPEN them...we can't open chakras and speed up anyone's enlightenment path but we can clear them to help them along the path they are to walk). Time and attention are also required with this class. Time for YOURSELF. Attention to YOURSELF. While there is no specific reading material needed for this course, I will be supplying you with some good books to read at your leisure to help you understand Reiki a little better.
Course Goals
The main course goal in this class is to help you connect to the universal life force called Reiki....learning the basics and history is only the beginning. Reiki helps to enhance personal and spiritual evolution and to assist on the path to enlightenment. The attunements will begin a process of helping you know and remember what you want and desire in your own life.
I thank you for your interest in this wonderful energy system known as Reiki. There are a total of six lessons and quite a bit of information in each lesson, but well worth the time and effort on your part. You will be required to do case studies, but these case studies are the best part of the class! You will amazed at how much you'll learn by writing down what you've experienced during a session. As I said earlier I will be working energetically with each of you on a daily basis and we will be touching base often to see how you are doing, what you are experiencing, and what you may need.
After a couple of lessons on the history of Reiki and it's basic principles, a brief intro to the chakra system, I will be attuning you to the USUI REIKI ONE energy. From then on, you will be able to practice Reiki on yourself and others. It's a powerful tool along for your life and your life's work. You will learn how to do self healing sessions, one on one client sessions. You will be reporting those as case studies.
There are a few assignements and quizzes along the way to help you remember what you've learned. I've seen many students online because of the motivation of the student. Online learning requires self motivation. If you are here, I know already you are being movitated from within.
Another goal is to help you know yourself and what you "WANT" from life in a more clearer, defined way. Reiki, which is in basic terms, 'love' ...unconditional love that comes from the universal source. Once you are attuned and practicing on yourself, your vision becomes clearer.
Our final base goal is to help you to use Reiki as a tool to live a richer, fuller, more ALIVE life. To help you remember your desires and dreams and to move forward in reaching them. Reiki can and will assist you along your path if you let it....just open your heart. Course Materials
None required. I will be sending you each a chakra chart as well as a few other needed papers (case study worksheets) at no extra cost to you. This will be helpful in doing energy work on people as well as yourself.
There are several books on the market worth reading in your own time, but none required for this course.
I will be listing those books for you soon. Please check often as I will be adding to the list as we go along. Grading Policy
I will be grading your tests on history and your knowledge of the history and principles and you will be required to turn in case studies on yourself and on two other people. As long as you participate and turn in the case studies, and it's clear you're doing the sessions, you will pass those studies.
After that, it's your experience that I want you to share with me. There will be a few essay share assignments. No one can fail "experience" essays. The point is to help you open up to yourself and to the Reiki energy surrounding you.
The key is to do these essays and take active part in sharing your experiences. If you do this, along with the quizzes on history , you will pass this course with flying colors.
Don't let the word essay scare you. I prefer to call the "shared experience". They will be read only by me and I will give feedback on each sharing. Class participation is the key to passing this course! Don't be afraid, just dive in. ;-)
Disclaimer
Viki is a Reiki Master/Teacher. This class is to attune you to Reiki One after learning the basic history and principles of how this energy work came to be. She is also a chakra clearing therapist and will be offering more classes soon. She is here to help you discover tools to help you move along on your path, not to cure any disease.
On practicing Reiki in a professional setting, please check your states laws on this subject. I will supply you with the link to make that a little easier! This is basically for someone who's thinking of opening up a Reiki practice. You will need to be attuned as a Reiki Master/Teacher to provide that type of service as it needs to be provided.
