This course is designed for participants who desire learning how to use powerful solution-focused strategies for helping individuals (or yourselves) move out of the quagmire of problems quickly and effectively. This approach is useful for a wide range of problems and with most age groups. Regardless of your role, you will learn practical skills for transforming problems into solutions. Filled with examples and illustrations, this course will address the role of the all important miracle questions as well as exceptions, scaling, and coping questions. Active listening, a key solution focus skill, is reviewed extensively and other useful skills explained. In addition, participants will appreciate the value of well-formed goals and the function of the philosophical statement if it isn t broke, don t fix it.
